Citrix CloudPlatform Wins Cloud Innovation Award

Citrix CloudPlatform™ powered by Apache CloudStack has been selected for a Cloud Innovation award from NetEvents, winning in the Cloud/Datacenter Solution category. The Cloud Innovation Awards recognize the best solutions in the technology industry and reward leading individuals and organizations for innovation and performance in the cloud sector.

The Citrix CloudPlatform cloud infrastructure platform is an open, flexible, interoperable and extensible cloud infrastructure framework that combines the best cloud foundation for private enterprise workloads with the Amazon-style scale, elasticity and operational efficiency of cloud workloads.

Awards were given in eight categories: cloud/data solution, cloud security solution, cloud mobility solution, SDN solution for the enterprise, hottest cloud company, industry idol-cloud innovation, cloud services for the enterprise and NFV solution for carriers. Winners were selected by a panel of judges that included IT and industry professionals, the tech investment community, and leading technology press and industry analysts from around the world.

The awards were presented at the NetEvents Cloud Innovation Summit awards dinner in Los Gatos, California. All profits from the dinner and awards will go to the American Cancer Society and the Prostate Project Foundation.

Agility and elasticity are the core promises of the cloud concept to enterprise IT departments. Citrix CloudPlatform is a unified cloud management tool that delivers on that promise for private enterprise orchestrations. The solution deserves attention from enterprise and government organizations looking for an application-centric tool.
